1. Dane County Bar Association - The Dane County Bar Association shares with the Milwaukee Bar Association the honor of being the oldest bar organization in Wisconsin, both predating the State Bar of Wisconsin by some twenty years.

2. The Milwaukee Bar Association - The MBA has a rich history, marked by its early commitment to civic service. Some of what is taken for granted today had its inception in the MBA, including the Milwaukee Law School (now Marquette University Law School) and the Legal Aid Society of Milwaukee.
